Current Research Interests Statewide education programs on integrated pest management (IPM) of structural and household insects. Emphasis on termites and the Formosan subterranean termite. Programs include the French Quarter Program of Operation Full Stop; evaluation of Louisiana’s tree treating program for termites; member of scientific advisory committees for the Governor’s Task Force on the Formosan subterranean termite; demonstrations on wood treatments, conducive conditions, and IPM of termites; investigations on the distribution of the Formosan subterranean termite in Louisiana; educational programs providing unbiased information to county agents, legislators, governmental agencies, industry, and the public; LSU AgCenter’s representative at the Lois Caffey Termite Training Center; presentations to master gardeners; termite webpage; publications; exhibits; insect identification; media, and answering phone calls. ^Top of the page Courses: Coordinator for the Extension practicum.
